This adorable, easy-to-read, picture book brings the softer, more relatable side of the Xenomorph to your home. Also, it serves as a therapeutic tool for those of us who were terrified to high hell by Alien and Giger's mesmerizing Xenomorph...

This book is not only hilarious, but it is a wish from H. R Giger to create this before his death in 2014. The book is for adults, but it is at times hilarious, sweet and also very touching. Spotto's tribute to Giger (He was supposed to collaborate on it with Giger, who passed on before it could be done) is truly beautiful; no Alien fan I know can't look at the beautiful art of Giger's creation showing a tender side without tearing up a little. Some of the humor is aimed at adults, but some of the pictures would definitely help a child who is afraid of the "monster" see a softer side and realize what's on screen is all make-believe. A lovely book!

If you like the Alien movie franchise and you have a sick sense of humor, this book is for you. It's full of inside jokes and oblique references. Most of the references concern the original two Alien movies, though there are some other movies in the series included in the jokes.It's funny, silly, and twisted. I recommend it.

This book is very funny and a fun gift for those who love the "Alien" films in your life (this was a Christmas present for my younger brother). I bought this and was very satisfied with it, however it doesn't get the full 5 stars because it is just a straight up picture book. I was under the impression that these pictures (which are all printed nicely and very very funny) would have some funny captions to them but they do not. Overall, a funny and unique present, just know that it is solely a picture book with no writing at all.

What an incredible achievement this little book is. No text, but a heartwarming story of a Xeno and his...her..it's daily life. Takes me back to my childhood days, this does. Cannot recommend this book more. Seriously worth the money and kudos to the author...illustrator...person behind the idea cause this one is really cool.

This is a cute book for Alien movie fans. When I have grandchildren, I will show this to them after we watch the movies together. It is too bad H.R. Giger isn't with us anymore to see the book himself.

The quality is great other then the drawings being good that's it. My son loves aliens and is starting to read so I figured I would order him this book so we could read it then watch the movies, but there are no words. Its a picture book. Very disappointed, plus I ordered a month before his birthday it said it would be here a week before and ended up arriving a week after his birthday.

great book for collectors. I did find humor in this picture book. I had bought this for my son as he has fallen in love with the cratures. BE WARNED. the book has some foul langue at the end of the book . Nothing that a magic marker was not able to cover up but be warned if buying for a young child.

I so looked forward to be able to use the Kindle version because I like to cut/paste into my own notes on the computer. BUT you cannot use the search tool to find the main word that you are trying to look up - the search index only shows where that word is used in the descriptions, but not he main entry! That is really dumb!Revised rating (from 1 star to 3 stars). (By the way, I wrote Dr. Mounce about the complaints about the indexing lack, and he replied that he had no control over the Kindle version.)I found a way to get around the lack of an index. Since the entries are in alphabetical order, it is fairly easy to slide the "progress bar" at the bottom of the page to get to the word you want - just as fast as flipping through the printed book. The other feature that ought to be added, however, besides an index or searchable key words, is to activate the cross references within the book so you can easily get to the related entries.Revised back to one star - every time I go to the Kindle version, I get upset for the same reason it has gotten so many one star ratings.Whoever is in charge of this edition, please revise it!! Thank you.

As others have said (how I wish I had read their ratings before getting the Kindle version!!), the kindle version is not worth anything. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE E BOOK, since is cannot be used as a dictionary or reference work is meant to be used. What an utter and total waste of money AND a greedy rip-off by the kindle folks. Utterly disgusting. They should refund all kindle customers who spent money on something useless, or at least give them a discount so they can get the book form. Their actions in this are merely self-serving, without any demonstration of consideration for the customer. We deserve an apology and the book form of the work. This makes me hesitate to buy anything like this from them ever. I was a Nook user before someone gave me a kindle. they each have their advantages and disadvantages. I imagine the Nook devices have advanced much since I was given mine, but my oldie does the necessary. One feature I REALLY like on the Nook is the ability to sort by price, which makes it possible to get a huge number of post-copywrite books, though one must beware of the OCR books. Maybe the Amazonians will get wise and reformat Mounce's book for easy searchng so that it can be used by a kndle ser..

The kindle's version don't have an interactive table of contents for finding the words in the dictionary that one would want to find which is a very bad thing to lack. To get around this short coming one will have to use the "progress bar" at the bottom of the page to get to the word one wants to get at, which is effective enough for doing so. Also one can do a word search as well which effectively helps somewhat as well.The table of contents very sadly is only link to the different sections of the dictionary but not to the words.

I teach adult classes at the church attend and bought this book as a teaching tool. In my opinion, the Kindle version is virtually useless as a resource for teaching because you cannot search for specific words. I would like to get my money back because I do not believe the site fully disclosed how useless the Kindle version is for those who want to use it as a teaching resource.

I would not recommend this in the Kindle format! It is not set up as a Kindle Dictionary. Hence, you cannot reference it from other Kindle books. It seems very "clunky" to look up words in this dictionary on a Kindle device. You have to use the search option.It seems that it could have been set up as a Kindle Dictionary. I have the same book in The Olive Tree app. There it acts as a true dictionary being able to be referenced from other books.

This book turned out to be better than what I had hoped for. English-to-Hebrew dictionary is very helpful. The definitions and word type (noun, verb, etc.) provided for the Hebrew words are informative and I especially like the included transliteration which helps with the reading of the Hebrew word.The list of Biblical Hebrew words is also useful although it would be good to have words which appear less than 50 times in the Bible included as well.The short introduction on how to do Bible word study is helpful.

Whether you're a pastor or a new believer, get this. It helps to know Greek and Hebrew but is absolutely not necessary. Look up an English word, see the Greek/Hebrew spelling, and then be given a phonetic spelling in English! Mounce carefully explains how the word is used in the original languages, but doesn't do so in a way that's overwhelming! Highly recommend this book.

My son who is 10 and owner of a robo hamster loves this book. Adorable pics and holds his interest. Could be more substantive so I would only recommend for children.

A great compact little book full of helpful information, adorable photos and useful facts for experienceddwarf hamster owners and beginners alike! After spending months searching the internet and reading the few booksthat are available, I feel confident in using this new (2014) book as a guide in caring for our new Robo.I just wonder whether the author, a small animal expert, omitted the chlorinated water warning because water in theUK is not chlorinated as ours is. I do not know. ....When I asked a sales associate in our local pet store aboutchlorinated water, her reply was, "Of course we don't give our animals chlorinated water." Why do they not tell their customers that?!
